LvL 110 Windwalker Monk

6, What is the back-story and history of your character? (Feel free to be as detailed as you would like.)

Chizuko was born in sleepy Morning Breeze Village on the Wandering Isle. Her childhood was mostly spent playing with other children in the village as well as helping her mother and father cook. Her neighbor and herself met with a travelling monk from the Shang Xi Academy making a stop in the village and it inspired both to become monks and eventually sparring partners. She left when she was 11 years old and things remained relatively the same until the arrival of the Horde and Alliance on the Wandering Isle. Chizuko’s attitude and personality has always reflected the huojin philosophy better since she is energetic and quick to act. This, and the chance to explore more of Azeroth eventually led her to following Ji Firepaw and the rest of those who decided to join the horde. However, her long-time friend and neighbor who had spent his whole life with her decided to join the alliance due to his personality and ideals. This is the start of Chizuko’s exposure to real change and conflict as she felt heavy hearted to be separated from her longtime friend and sparring partner.
After joining the horde, she quickly tried to make friends and tried to help the Horde the best she can, usually involving doing tasks ranging from the mundane such as cooking and to the combative, since she was a soldier on the front lines. She never views herself as anything exceptional, viewing her work as helping what she considers her second family and that family should be protected. This simplistic viewpoint was tested during Garrosh Hellscream’s tenure as Warchief of the Horde, as she saw what the Horde was descending into and when the resistance led by Vol’jin broke out, she would never be fully the same again. An encounter with a troll and a squad of Kor’kron troops under Garrosh left her questioning everything she believes in. When Vol’jin took the mantle of Warchief, these doubts and fears were put aside by her hope of a brighter Horde.
During the events in Warlords of Draenor, despite her insistence, she was recommended by a friend in her unit to take a break from the front lines and try to work freelance or even take a break from the harsh life of a soldier for a bit. She finally relented after a few of her squad mates insisted on it for her well-being. With this opportunity, she decided to work on a more freelance basis and also rekindle the relationship she had with her old sparring friend, promising to separate work and whatever ideals they have from their friendship.
When the legion invaded, she heard about the death of some of her squad mates on the broken shore and was devastated. After recomposing herself, she quickly rejoined the front lines fighting as a freelance at the same time to fight the legion in any way she can to protect her “Horde Family” and her friend. Now, despite getting more than she bargained for when she decided to join the Horde, she is still interested to see what else the world offers.

7, Tell us about the personality of your character.

Chizuko is generally upbeat, energetic, and happy-go-lucky preferring to remain optimistic even in tough situations. She believes that problems can be overcome with enough effort, which lends to her optimism. She views protecting those she considers her family and friends as her first priority as she views them as very valuable and priceless for her for brightening her life. When they are threatened, the usually cheerful Chizuko loses her cheerfulness and has been described as “intimidating”. Due to her simple village upbringing, she tends to view the world in a non-complex way, but this does not mean she cannot make careful and insightful observation, it just takes her more effort to do it. If she is upset, she tends to argue back to prove her point or be a bit more confrontational, but it usually passes quickly and she will return to her normal self. That said, it takes a lot to truly anger her.

8, What does your character look like?

She is a moderate sized pandaren with orange-brown and white cream fur and her build is bit stocky but not too burly as she can be considered a tad bit slimmer than an average pandaren. Her hair is a darker shade of brown compared to her fur and is tied into pigtails, with a small orange flower sticking on the left side of her hair. Her eyes are orange and she is always wearing a pair of jade earrings even in battle, a gift from her parents before she left the Wandering Isle to travel. She also has a tail. She usually dresses casually, preferring simple leather armor in casual situations and she doesn’t seem to be armed. Even in battle, she tends to prefer armor that allows her more speed and flexibility. She doesn’t usually wear robes unless it is required, claiming that “Those robes are really stuffy when you have to kick and punch stuff!”

9, What does your character think of their warchief, Sylvanas Windrunner?
Her view on Sylvanas? She thinks she is a capable leader and commander, but she is rightfully afraid of a second garrosh happening again due to her experience by the hands of the Kor’kron. Thus, unlike her usual way of directly dealing with things, she waits and see how she will take the Horde forwards.

10, The following questions are designed to get a better grasp of your character within their race and position within the Horde. Only answer the question(s) specified to your character’s race. If the question does not apply to your character perfectly, still try to answer to the best of your ability.

She found the time spent with the Horde to be interesting and priceless, making friends in the squad she was assigned too, and was unsurprisingly devastated when she found out most of them died on the Broken Shore. Her experience with the Horde when Garrosh was in charge left a bitter taste in her mouth but she keeps trying to move on from it. She also managed to make an exception having a friendly relationship with her former sparring partner, both of them vowing on relationship boundaries considering their situation.

11, Which pages of the site did you read?
How to apply page, FAQ, Rules, Home page, what makes us different section, all sections of the who we are page describing the various sub groups of the guild.

12, What does the large feline like to eat?

13, Can you initiate roleplay on your own? How often do you? How do you?
I can initiate roleplay on my own, especially if the atmosphere turns a bit quiet. I often do it once or twice a week in the major cities, always a hotpot for instant rp and a chance to initiate roleplay since I notice most people tend to rp with me when I initiate first. I would usually start by initiating contact with the other person and talk about recent things and news, such as the disappearance of Argus and rumors of a mineral as well as talking about their business in the city.

14, What does the tiny automobile use for fuel?

15, How involved do you like to be in the guild community outside of the game? Do you enjoy using forums / Discord, etc?
I would like to be involved in the discord, but I usually have a rule not to post too many things to avoid being annoying and to only post things that are constructive, especially to RP. I enjoy using Discord honestly, more flexible than forums and allows me to get to know the guild members better.

16, Why do you want to join Warforged Legacy?
I’ve done my research and took the initiative to see your roster. I know there are definitely alts in every guild but to have that many members and still be active in an RP sense, something must be really good about your guild, and I want to join to develop my own char’s story and to have a home for my Horde main in a good RP guild. I’m rather curious as well based on the info I got from Urgarok about you guys, since you seem to be having quite a lot of events.

17, Do you know anyone in the guild, and how do you know them?
Urgarok. I met him 2 years ago when we were in the same rp guild for my alliance main and he is the one who recommended me to you since I’m looking to build the story of my horde main alongside my alliance main.

18, How did you hear about us?
Urgarok and his recommendations and stories about your guild.

19, On average, how often do you log into this character and play? Try to be specific.
On average 4-6 hours a week, mostly during night time PST. I would usually be online with this char on Tuesday afternoons and nights, Thursday nights, and Friday nights and all-day Sunday alongside my alliance main since this is my horde main. For Saturday nights, I can adapt and make time, but there will be quite a few times I can’t login to an event that night. However, I can certainly make it to the Tuesday night events.

20, What was the name of the last guild you were in, and why did you leave it?
Actually for my Horde main…technically she has never been in a guild. For my alliance main, I left my old guild Winds of Fortune due to the guild slowly breaking down to toxic atmosphere and prolonged guild inactivity (no events for more than 7-9 months straight) to another guild where my alliance main is now.

21, Anything you would like to add? (Tell us about yourself, etc.)
Unfortunately, unlike Chizuko, I am a bit shy when I meet new people for the first time and I usually take a few days or a week or two to warm up to people. But, once I do and I can get the general feel of the people, I will usually start to talk more in gchat and start making comments on discord and be a bit more direct. But as I said, a general rule for me on discord is not to post anything that won’t create a discussion.

22, If you understand that a reason will not be provided if your application is denied type: "I UNDERSTAND" in response to this: I UNDERSTAND
((Thank you for your time to read my application! Regardless of outcome, I wish the best for your guild as it seems based on Urgarok’s stories, it is really a nice one!))
