The Horde (also called the New Horde, Thrall's Horde or Vol'jin's Horde) is one of the two major political factions of the mortal races in Azeroth.

The groups that make up the Horde:
  1. The orcs of Durotar
  2. The Darkspear tribe of trolls
  3. The United Tauren Tribes
  4. The Forsaken
  5. The Blood Elves of Quel'Thalas
  6. The goblins of the Bilgewater Cartel
  7. The Pandaren who have chosen to identify themselves as Horde

Year 0 - The First War
The Orcs come through the Dark Portal to Azeroth, leaving a swath of devastation in their wake.

Year 6 – The Second War
The Alliance is formed, they defeat the majority of the orcs on Azeroth, and put them into internment camps.

Year 18 – The New Horde
Thrall escapes from Blackmoore’s camp, finds the Warsong clan, and liberates the orcs. Thrall is named the new orc warchief.

Year 20 – The Third War
The plague of undeath is unleashed across Lordaeron.
Quel’Thalas is overrun by the scourge, killing 90% of their elven population.
Sylvanas Windrunner is killed and raised as a banshee.

Year 21 –
The orcs ally themselves with the tauren and Darkspear trolls.
Durotar and Orgrimmar are founded.

Year 22 –
Prince Kael’thas breaks with the Alliance and renames his people Blood Elves.
Sylvanas Windrunner stages a coup and claims Tirisfal Glades from the Lich King and Kal’Thuzad.

Year 25 – (WORLD OF WARCRAFT begins)
Various assaults happen against Blackwing Lair, Onyxia, and the qiraji in Silithus.

Year 26 – The Burning Crusade
The Dark Portal is opened by Lord Kazzak and the Legion. Horde and Alliance forces take the battle against the Legion to Outland. The surviving Blood Elves join the Horde.

Year 27 – Wrath of the Lich King
Lich King Arthas reawakens and sends the scourge to attack Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Both factions send their armies to Northrend. Wrathgate and the Battle for the Undercity happen as a group of Forsaken break off from Sylvanas. The Ashen Verdict attacks Icecrown Citadel and kill Arthas. The Darkspear retake the Echo Isles and free their people from Zalazane.

Year 28 – The Cataclysm
Deathwing returns to Azeroth, causing great environmental catastrophes. Thrall steps down as Warchief, appointing Garrosh Hellscream in his place. The Greymane wall is opened, the Forsaken invade Gilneas but are eventually pushed out by the Alliance. Kezan is destroyed and the Bilgewater Cartel joins the Horde. Horde and Alliance join forces to quash an uprising of the Gurubashi and Amani trolls.

Year 30 – Mists of Pandaria
The Alliance/Horde conflict becomes all-out war as Warchief Hellscream destroys the city of Theramore. Pandaria is discovered and explored. Jaina Proudmoore purges the Horde from the Kirin Tor and from Dalaran. Garrosh arranges for the assassination attempt on Vol’jin, and the Darkspear Rebellion happens. Horde rebels and the Alliance put Orgrimmar under siege and dethrone Garrosh. Vol'jin is named warchief. Garrosh escapes custody to alternate timeline Draenor.

Year 31 – Warlords of Draenor
The Draenor Dark Portal is connected to present day Azeroth and the Iron Horde starts coming through. Our Horde heroes go to Draenor and sever the portal. The garrison in Frostfire is established and the Horde heroes ally with the Frostwolf clan to fight the Iron Horde. The Iron Horde and their warlords are fought and eventually defeated, allowing the Horde and Alliance to return home to Azeroth.
